Tassie Face Mask Project

Tassie Face Mask Project

The Tassie Face Mask Project is an initiative run by the not for profit organisation, Flourishing Communities Inc.  In 2020 we launched our project to provide cloth face masks to the community, in an effort to increase the number of surgical grade face masks in health care settings while they were in short supply due to the COVID pandemic.  Now surgical masks are more readily available, we have directed our efforts to supplying vulnerable people in the community with reusable cloth face masks.

These masks are a 3 layer cloth face mask that are made using polyester/cotton.

They are NOT a medical grade mask and are NOT recommended to be worn in clinical areas or replace medical grade masks.

Tassie Face Mask Project does not provide any guarantee and does not accept any legal liability for the reliability, durability or any other function of any cloth masks and/or other items made by any party; individual or group, associated with the Tassie Face Mask Project. The use of cloth masks or any other item associated with the Tassie Face Mask Project is at the user’s own risk.

How you can help:
We invite Tasmanians to sew and donate cloth face masks.
Masks are available for purchase.  Funds raised go back into the project to help us to purchase materials required to provide masks to vulnerable members of our community.
